Practice Summary:

Mr. Shannon represents employers throughout the Mid-West and the South in all areas of labor and employment law, including collective bargaining/contract negotiations, contract interpretation/administration, arbitrations, NLRB proceedings, COVID-19 advice, employee benefits, employment discrimination matters, wage and hour/overtime/prevailing wage matters, OSHA issues, and EEOC proceedings. He has tried jury trials and also defended numerous employers in employment litigation cases involving discrimination, disability, and FMLA claims in both State and Federal Courts. He has extensive experience defending both EPLI matters and worker’s compensation cases including total disability cases.

 

Mr. Shannon regularly conducts training for employers and presentations for business groups in the areas of sexual harassment prevention, drug testing, supervisor training, worker’s compensation, union avoidance, litigation prevention, employment best practices, pension plan/benefit strategies, and human resources. Mr. Shannon also nearly every day counsels employers regarding discipline/termination strategies, personnel policies, and employee relations. He prides himself on offering practical, preventive, cost-effective, and creative advice in these areas.
